Is your plan in synch with God's plan?

"Teach me to do your will,
     for you are my God;
  may your good Spirit
     lead me on level ground."
                Psalm 143:10

What are your plans? A question often asked in many situations, summer vacation, loss of a job, start of a major project. Our answers vary depending on the situation, the person. But should they really? Now granted not many people think about God's will in planning their summer vacation. That is but one small aspect of God's overall plan for us. But something as major as the loss of a job, or even just the decision to make a change in your job or career is not something that should be taken lightly.

Where does God want you doing His work? When contemplating these major life changes, always seek the advice of the Lord. Pray and ask for guidance in your search for that next position. Study the Bible to see where it leads you.

But how do we know if what we are doing is working to God's plan? That is a tough question, one I have been wrestling with for a while now. But what I do know is that keeping faithful to prayer and asking for God's guidance gets you to that next step, even if we do not know yet what that next step is.

Pray for God to show you the plan and then execute what is given to you. It may be a new opportunity that you were not aware of. It may be a change you never even thought about. But if you pray for guidance, He will show you the way.

God Bless you.
